the rooms are very small. the B&B is inside a closed complex but the area itself is noisy and unsafe at night , so we didn't go out at all. Although the owners are very nice , but they are hardly ever there and the place is run by locals who are very difficult to understand , on top of that they charged exorbitant prices for almost everything you order to eat and also for things you didn't order . it's not worth the price they charged - you can find more luxuries and value for money b&B and hotels for the price of 6000 before taxes

Great place, great location. The cleaning was done when required and the rooms are pretty clean too. The check-in and check-out process is seamless and the locality is pretty good too.

I stayed for the second time at Thikana last week. The breakfast is really the most incredible I've ever had, so much variety, best quality ingredients, special requests. I've stayed in five star hotels around the world and the extensive choices get a bit predictable. The meusli, many types of yoghurts, every kind of milk, the bacon, eggs, fruit, sweets. At Thikana they prepare special local delicacies (such as a tiny local waffle with home made jam and cream, yum!) that can or cannot be spicy, depending on your taste, interesting local fruits, any kind of hot drink. It's really special and I'd book for that alone! It's not far from Hauz Khaz market and the dentist I come to Delhi for. The host is gracious and has excellent taste in art work, all collected personally. I'd highly recommend this as a home away from home experience.

Absolutely brilliant stay in our first nights in India. People had warned me that Delhi was a bit overwhelming, I think the experience of staying at Thikana shielded us from that! Friendly attentive staff, quiet area that is out of the action but close enough to be convenient and the owner was incredibly helpful. Would recommend.

Thikana is very central and that was helpful as we had a short stay. The terrace is lovely especially if you’re travelling as a group. The rooms are neat and the staff are helpful. The hosts are warm and welcoming. We stayed in a room on the 3rd floor and the size was comfortable. I understand that the rooms on the 2nd floor are slightly smaller. I really appreciate the cozy living rooms on every floor and the fact that it’s inside a gated community. I would recommend staying here.
